Kellie O'Toole joined ElectronX in 2024 with more than 13 years’ experience in high-frequency trading, capital markets, and startups, with an extensive background in risk management, human resources, operations and entrepreneurship.
Kellie worked for 12 years at Tower Research Capital, a leading high-frequency trading firm, terminating as the Head of Americas' Market Risk and Global Operational Risk. In this role she identified, monitored and mitigated known and potential sources of risk to the firm. She managed the firm's electronic trading risk across all global markets during Americas' trading hours and built and led the firm's operational risk program. From 2017 to 2019, Kellie served as Senior Director of HR Operations at Tower Research Capital. In this position, she led the design and implementation of the company's year-end compensation process, revised performance review criteria, and oversaw the creation of an international mobility policy.
Kellie joined Tower Research Capital in 2011 as an Associate in Recruiting and Human Resources, leading global quantitative trading recruitment efforts. She became Director of HR Operations and Global Mobility in 2015, where she upgraded the company's HRIS system, conducted comprehensive talent analytics, and revamped compensation practices.
In January 2023, Kellie founded Beginner, a consumer marketplace company focused on unlocking growth in recreational sports for beginners, where as CEO she led all aspects of the startup's business and technical development including market research, incorporation, finance, operations, product and marketing.
Kellie holds an AB degree in Sociology and Government from Harvard University.
